Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix an Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident right from the day she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her first race, Felix finished 2nd in the 200-meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and subsequently signed a pro-contract for Adidas. In 2004 she began her studies at an institution called the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. She was the youngest world winner in the 200m in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top three in all of her events in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
